How to itemise Khufra and, more importantly, why each item earns its slot.

Overview

Why this build works on Khufra

Khufra relies heavily on maximum Health scaling across his kit, as Tyrant's Revenge, Bouncing Ball, and his passive Spell Curse all deal damage or sustain based on his Max HP. As an aggressive roam initiator who dives deep with Tyrant's Revenge and disrupts mobility heroes using Bouncing Ball, he takes massive incoming damage. This build maximizes his health pool and defensive multipliers while amplifying his innate sustain. Upgrading his passive healing and granting him continuous area damage while bouncing inside enemy teams transforms Khufra from a single-target setup tank into an oppressive teamfight frontline who survives deep dives around Turtle and Lord fights.

Warrior Boots - Conceal

Early

Warrior Boots - Conceal provides Khufra with early physical armor and essential movement speed to roam the map. The active Conceal skill allows Khufra to initiate surprise ganks, letting him position seamlessly before charging Tyrant's Revenge without revealing his trajectory to enemies. Extra movement speed also aids in positioning for optimal wall slams using Tyrant's Rage, turning early skirmishes around map objectives into decisive victories for his team.

In-game passive Active Skill - Conceal: Success

Dominance Ice delivers physical defense while suppressing enemy attack speed and lifesteal around Khufra. Because Khufra relies on Bouncing Ball to lock down mobile marksmen and assassins in close quarters, the passive Arctic Cold aura cripples physical carries who try to fight back. The added physical defense works in synergy with the defensive buff granted during Bouncing Ball, turning him into an impenetrable wall during front-line engagements.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Arctic Cold: Reduces the Attack Speed of nearby enemy heroes to 70% of normal.

Cursed Helmet builds directly off Khufra's high Health pool, utilizing Burning Soul to emit continuous magic damage to nearby targets. Since Khufra constantly stays glued to enemies while disrupting them with Bouncing Ball, this passive aura deals substantial burn damage throughout prolonged crowd control chains. The extra Max HP also directly boosts the damage of Tyrant's Revenge and enhances the self-healing triggered by his Spell Curse passive.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Burning Soul: Deals Magic Damage equal to 0.6% of the hero's Max HP per second to nearby enemies. This damage is increased by 140% to 350% against creeps and minions (scales with level).

Oracle

Core

Oracle drastically increases Khufra's durability against magic damage while enhancing all incoming shield and healing effects via its Bless passive. This directly amplifies the self-heal on his enhanced basic attack from Spell Curse, keeping Khufra healthy during long teamfights. Combined with the defensive boosts from Bouncing Ball, Oracle ensures Khufra can repeatedly trigger control effects to reduce Spell Curse cooldown and sustain through heavy enemy focus.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Bless: Received Shield and HP Regen effects are increased by 30%.

Guardian Helmet massively increases Khufra's total Health pool and grants relentless health regeneration outside of combat. This extra HP scales directly with the damage dealt by Tyrant's Revenge and Bouncing Ball, as well as the flat heal from Spell Curse. The passive Recovery allows Khufra to initiate aggressive dives with Tyrant's Rage, step back to regenerate HP, and re-engage without needing to recall back to base.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Recovery: Regenerates 2.5% Max HP per second (reduced to 0.5% Max HP per second over 5s after taking damage).

Immortality gives Khufra a crucial second life during high-stakes endgame teamfights around the Lord. After diving deep into the enemy backline with Tyrant's Revenge and executing Tyrant's Rage against a wall, Khufra often absorbs maximum enemy focus. The Immortal revive passive grants a second chance to cast Bouncing Ball or trigger Spell Curse for additional healing, ensuring his team maintains crowd control dominance until the fight concludes.

In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).

Adapting the build

No build survives every draft. These are the situations where the order above should change.

Against heavy magic damage or continuous poke

Prioritise Oracle earlier directly after purchasing your boots. Since Oracle boosts the sustain from your Spell Curse passive while mitigating heavy magic damage, rushing it allows Khufra to endure high spell burst. This sustain keeps him healthy enough to repeatedly launch Tyrant's Revenge and sustain long engagements without forced recalls.

Against high physical attack speed carries

Rush Dominance Ice immediately after completing Warrior Boots - Conceal. The Arctic Cold aura slows enemy attack speed, directly weakening physical marksmen. Combined with Bouncing Ball knocking up enemies who attempt to escape or engage with blink skills, this rush stops aggressive physical attackers from out-scaling your team during early skirmishes.

When the team needs high frontline HP for scaling damage

Delay Immortality to complete Cursed Helmet and Guardian Helmet first. Stacking maximum HP earlier significantly increases the damage output on Tyrant's Revenge and Bouncing Ball, while dramatically raising the flat healing on Spell Curse. This turns Khufra into a high-damage, highly resilient frontline threat before taking late-game defensive options.
