Flame Hunter's Swift Boots
Early
Early jungle clear speed is crucial for Helcurt to unlock Dark Night Falls quickly. Flame Hunter's Swift Boots enhance his jungling speed by adding extra true damage to creeps when taking camp objectives. The attack speed bonus speeds up basic attacks, allowing Helcurt to build Deadly Stinger stacks much faster during early ganks. Once completed, Helcurt can farm efficiently, roam between lanes rapidly, and execute early ambushes with pre-stacked stingers ready.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Hunter: After dealing damage to a Creep, deal 25<2|lv 3> + True Damage to the target over 3s (damage is increased by 100% for non-Marksmen heroes).
This item enhances Helcurt's ambush style when jumping in with Shadow Transition. The extra physical damage and slow from the Ambush passive allow Helcurt to stick to targets easily, ensuring he lands follow-up basic attacks to top off his Deadly Stinger count. With Ambush triggering alongside the silence from Dark Night Falls, enemies cannot cast spells or escape before Helcurt unleashes a full five-stinger active burst.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Ambush: If no damage is taken or dealt within 5s (excluding from Minions or Creeps), the next Basic Attack will deal an additional 160 Physical Damage and slow the target by 40% for 1.5s.
Helcurt requires rapid attack speed to quickly charge Deadly Stinger when Dark Night Falls is on cooldown. Windtalker provides the movement speed and attack speed needed to maneuver around teamfights and quickly stack stingers. The magic damage proc gives him extra multi-target damage while farming creeps or clearing minion waves. Once equipped, Helcurt's overall damage output increases, making him far less dependent solely on his ultimate to stack stingers.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Typhoon: Every 5-2s (reduced by 0.2s for each Basic Attack), the next Basic Attack will hit up to 3 enemy units for 150-362 Magic Damage. (This attack can Crit and the damage increases to 200% against Minions.)
Deadly Stinger counts as basic attacks, and Windtalker procs can crit. Berserker's Fury boosts critical hits, which instantly increases Helcurt's raw physical attack via its Doom passive whenever a crit lands. This synergy amplifies the damage of subsequent basic attacks and boosts the physical attack scaling on both Shadow Transition and Deadly Stinger. Securing this item allows Helcurt to melt squishy targets almost instantaneously during ambushes.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Doom: Critical strikes grant 5% extra Physical Attack for 2s.
Helcurt specializes in finishing off low-health targets who are silenced or trying to flee. Blade of Despair drastically boosts physical attack when hitting enemies below half health. Since Shadow Transition and initial basic attacks drop enemy health rapidly, Despair triggers right before Helcurt fires his Deadly Stinger active, turning his primary damage skill into a lethal finisher. It transforms Helcurt into a terrifying late-game assassin.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Despair: Dealing damage to non-Minion enemies below 50% HP increases Physical Attack by 25% for 2s (takes effect before the damage is dealt).
Diving into enemy backlines with Shadow Transition leaves Helcurt vulnerable once his silence and burst skills are used. Immortality provides a crucial safety net, granting him a second life and a shield upon taking fatal damage. This second chance allows Helcurt to wait out skill cooldowns, re-engage with remaining Deadly Stinger stacks, or use the movement speed from Dark Night Falls to safely disengage from high-risk dives.
In-game passive Unique Passive - Immortal: Revives 2.5s after death, gaining 16% Max HP and a 220-1200 shield (scales with level) that lasts 3s (210s cooldown).
